Challenge:
Altanova was tasked with helping a client relocate multiple major R&D data centers in less than 180 days during a major acquisition and achieve substantial gains in efficiency compared to the acquired operations.
Our Approach:
Our team worked to right-size the facilities, resizing and redesigning entire facilities to optimize energy performance. We introduced new cooling technologies at the client's headquarters, boosting efficiency under high-density loads. Altanova also oversaw energy performance across 43 global sites to ensure consistency and reliability across the portfolio.
Benefits & Results:
This project was fully achieved within the 180 day timeline, far ahead of industry standards. The portfolio efficiency saw major improvements, with 50% lower energy use compared to previous operations. Our client is now set up to sustain this performance in the long term, with portfolio management and integration of on-site PV generation for additional savings.
